About My Blog

I cover the Vegas side of sports with tales of big bets, miracle longshots and interviews with characters from a sometimes mysterious industry.

I am not a handicapper or tout; in fact, I rarely bet.

I’m an award-winning journalist, who has written for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Sports Business Journal, ESPN and Sporting News.

Most of all, I’m bald and sensitive.

  2. My name is John Harrison and I would love to talk to you about the “tout” side of the business from the perspective of a tout. Not the theory of touting, but someone who has actually been there done that.

  3. Mr Purdum, as a freelance journalist who relishes interesting characters and sports-related stories involving gambling, you may be THE ONE to crack open the Sandusky/ Penn State story. Mike McQueary, his father John, and physician Jon Dranov are responsible for allowing the Sandusky case to become the Penn State Scandal. We need a bold journalist to find out WHY. You may be the guy!!
